Andrea is asking for help in locating a quilt she made for her 7 year old nephew, Toby. Andrea made a bear paw style large twin sized quilt of green, tan, red, orange, blue, purple and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fabrics for the front and back of the quilt. The quilt is machine pieced in a bear paw quilt pattern and machine quilted with a label which reads, “Cowabunga, Dude!” with washing instructions and “Handmade by Andrea Waagen, 2016”
Andrea reports the quilt was last seen “between then end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 in the vicinity of Bottineau/Rugby/Devil’s Lake, ND
It is “believed to have been taken by family/friends and sold for drug money.”
Andrea says, “I would love to get this quilt back. It was the third quilt that I have ever made, and was a gift to my nephew. It was stolen by people we considered family and sold so they could buy drugs. It breaks my heart that my 7 year old nephew has to learn about the evil in this world in this way.”
Please contact Andrea with any information you may have about this quilt at andrea.waagen@gmail.com
Thank you!
