Miyuki Humphries is asking for help in locating “Murasaki” a 20″ x 20″ square wall quilt made of black and purple fabrics that was made for the Cherrywood Fabrics Prince Challenge. It’s Miyuki’s original design, and uses Cherrywood hand dyed suede-like fabric, beads and Swarovski embellishment. This wall quilt was machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted.
Miyuki Humphries made her wall quilt in 2018 and placed a label, hand appliqued to the back bottom right side. which reads:
Murasaki

Miyuki last saw her quilt on July 18, 2018 at a Japanese post office. Regarding the lost quilt she said, “I sent a quilt to Cherrywood in Minnesota on July 18 to enter the (Prince Cherrywood) quilt challenge. But that quilt did not make it to Cherrywood. I was able to follow up to the International Distribution Center of (the shipper’s) Regional Facility, Chicago IL. But what happened after that? There is no clue at all. Of course, I took the procedure to look for it from the Japanese post office side, but I can not find it.”

If you have any information regarding this quilt, please contact Miyuki at:miyuki@sakura.email.ne.jp
