Recovered! June’s quilt

Debra I. Cohen Cousineau wants to recover her mom’s quilt. It was last seen on June 11, 2017 in room 237 of Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston, Rhode Island. Her mom was a patient there and the quilt was on her bed when she passed away. They packed up her belongings on June 14, but the quilt was not there. They immediately notified the nursing home staff. Debra and her sister had been planning on burying their mother wrapped in the quilt, but they could not since it disappeared.

Thankfully, Debra finally received a call from the nursing home, and they found her mom’s quilt! It had been stuffed in a box in the laundry room. She picked up her precious quilt on August 2.

This quilt is approximately 64″ by 52″. There are twelve 12″ sampler blocks on the front. The main colors in the blocks are blues and yellows. Purple, blue, and green are in the sashing. The border is a green print. The backing is a blue and yellow batik. This quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted. It was made in 2010, but it does not have a label.
