Rosie Balusek is searching for a Transportation Quilt that was made by her mother, Rena Chauvin. This quilt was last seen during November 2016 in a quilt shop in Bay City, Texas. It had been brought to the store for minor repair. The shop is now closed. It is possible it may have been taken to someone’s home for repair.
This twin size quilt is mainly blue. The squares include different modes of transportation such as trucks, cars, planes, etc. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. It was made in 1985. It has a label hand stitched to the back which says, “Granny Chauvin.”
If you find this quilt, please contact Rosie at rbalusek@gmail.com.
