Horse Quilt

HallKatie-HorseQuiltKatie Hall needs help locating this missing horse quilt. It was made by Eleanor Homrighausen for Katie Homrighausen. The quilt was last seen in Bennett, Iowa. She suspects it was accidentally put in a donation pile.

The quilt depicts five horses, one without a saddle. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. It was made around 2000.

Katie writes, “I’m desperate to have this priceless
piece of me back! My grandmother hand made this quilt for me when I was about 10 years old. With me being that young my mom thought it best to pack it away
to keep it safe till I was older. Then when we went to move to our new family home, about 13 years ago, this piece disappeared. We have searched and searched and have still never found it, after so long I decided it pry somehow ended up in the donation stuff. It would have ended up donated at the DAV or goodwill in Davenport, Iowa. At the time I had no way of finding it, but my mom found this picture today and I thought Facebook was worth a shot. I’m not sure if anything will come of it, but I’m not out anything except my time to follow the post.”
