Carol LaForest is searching for a quilt that was made for her by her sister. It is a Grandmother’s Garden Quilt (using hexagons to create flower shapes). The quilt was last seen on October 29, 2009 in Taylor, Michigan. It was left at Carol’s sister’s house. She passed away unexpectedly. A company came in to move her items out per the landlord. They claim they never saw the quilt.
This quilt is lap size using all colors plus white. It is hand pieced and uses polyester fabrics. The quilt top was purchased from a yard sale. The picture shown here is not the actual quilt but it is very similar. Hers had some darker colors and the entire backing is a darker sea blue. This quilt is machine quilted and is surrounded by lace. It was assembled in 2001.
