Grandma Finley’s Quilt

Kathy Reddin hopes to find a quilt made by her Grandma Finley. The quilt was last seen on December 27, 1997. It was lost in a move from Lewisville, Texas to Carrolton, Texas. They believe the movers may have mistaken it for furniture padding since it was dark and plain on one side. They didn’t realize it was missing for several years.

This quilt was about a twin or full size quilt. The main colors are ivory, tan, and brownish dark red. It was made with polyester suiting type fabrics. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. Kathy believes it was ivory and tan colored squares sewn together in a diagonal pattern. It belonged to Kathy’s husband. His grandmother made it for him when he was a teen in 1980. It had a few tiny blood stains where she pricked her finger while hand quilting it.
