Turtle Quilt

LopezAlicia-TurtleQuiltAlicia “Lisa” Lopez is looking for a Turtle Quilt that she made for Eddie VanHoosear. The quilt was made for her nephew’s college graduation, and it went into storage while he lived overseas teaching English.

The quilt was last seen around September 2010 when it was put into storage. It disappeared from storage sometime between October 2010 and March 2011 when it was discovered that the storage unit had been burglarized. A police report was filed.

This quilt is approximately 70″ by 73″. Lisa used purple, green, and blue floral and batik prints. One of the prints is a blue-purple turtle batik. She also used large Hawaiian floral prints. She made the quilt in 2007 using instructions in the book, “9-Patch Pizazz.” The quilt is labeled on the lower corner and it says, “Made by Lisa Lopez, San Diego CA for Eddie VanHoosear, Quilted by Judi Sample.”

If you find this quilt, please contact Lisa at lotsofquilts@earthlink.net.
