In September 2014 Ann Thompson of Albuquerque, New Mexico found and bought this quilt at a flea market. She wrote, “…I’m posting it because the workmanship is wonderful and I cannot believe that someone would sell it at a garage sale or somewhere else. I have tried to google names but nothing definitive found.”
In December 2014, the daughter of the lady who quilted this quilt contacted Ann. Apparently, the quilt was made and given as a gift, and the recipient did not like it so it was sold. Ann was told she could keep the quilt and enjoy it!
This quilt is 40″ by 40″. The main colors are browns and beiges. It has a Lone Star Center surrounded by a variety of Southwester images. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. It has a label which was written in ink and hand sewn on. It is hard to read except that it indicates a designer, piecer, and quilter, along with the year 2006.
