Medal of Honor quilt

BrownKit-BacaArbuckleThe Smoky Mountain Quilters Guild needs help recovering a quilt that has disappeared during shipping. This quilt was last seen in Knoxville, Tennessee on September 15, 2014. It was being shipped from Knoxville to Julian, California in a box with other convention materials and gifts received at the convention. It was a gift to a Medal of Honor recipient from a quilter in Knoxville. The box containing the quilt and other gifts was give to the recipient during their annual convention and it was looted at some point during the trip from Tennessee to the San Diego area.

The main colors in this 61″ by 61″ quilt are red, gold, navy, and white. The design is an exploding star coming out of a central star. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. It has a label that says, “Created for John R. Baca by Linda Arbuckle and Karen Harper. Presented
September 2014 at Knoxville, TN.” The label is hand appliquéd to the bottom center of the backing.
