Candace Junkin of Moms for Marijuana reported the loss of two quilts.
The main panel is 18 ft by 24 ft. The smaller panel (shown below) is about 8 ft by 10 ft. The two quilts were in the rooftop luggage rack of a beige Ford Explorer. It was parked in a CVS parking lot on Thorton Lane in Irving, Texas when the quilts were stolen. The quilts were last seen around 6 PM on April 5, 2013.
These two quilts were made from squares donated by people all over the country. Candace writes, “After over 2 years of dedicated work, and more than 70 volunteers, we just want our baby to come home!!!”
The same day these quilts were posted as lost, the large panel was recovered. The smaller panel is still missing.

1 hour after I posted this webpage on our main Facebook page, on 4/9/2013 someone dropped our quilt off on the side of the road and called us!!! We have the main panel back!!! The big one. It has some damage, and the unity panel ( the small panel is not with it) I don’t know for sure if it was because of Lost Quilt that we got it back.. but it sure does seem like it!! Thank you so so so much!!!!
Great news! I’ll update the page.
