Please be on the look out for a Baltimore Album quilt made by Hazel Reed Ferrell for Elizabeth Ferrell. This quilt was last seen in West Virginia during October 2013. The owner’s father gave it away. This quilt was an award winning quilt, made especially for Elizabeth as a labor of love from her mother.
The main colors on this quilt are red, green, and white. The third block from the left on the bottom row has the silhouettes of Hazel’s three sons with their names and birth dates. This quilt was hand appliqued, hand pieced, and hand quilted.
If you have any information regarding this quilt, please contact Elizabeth through Judy Schwender at jschwender@quiltmuseum.org.
What area of WV? I am in the eastern panhandle and will spread the word.
the quilt looks gorgeous! why in the world would someone give it away? Have you tried contacting your local tv stations or newspaper to do a feature on it? Surely someone would see it and recognize it.
