Southern Trails and Stars

Members of Southern Stars Quilt Guild, Hollywood, Florida are hoping to recover the quilt top they made as a raffle quilt. The quilt top was last seen on November 15, 2010 when it was given to a local long-arm quilter. She resigned from the guild shortly after taking possession of the quilt top and now refuses to take their phone calls or respond to mail.

This quilt top is 93″ by 93″. It uses a variety of white-on-white fabrics and a wide range of blues. It is machine pieced. Since it was just a quilt top the last time they saw it, there was no label attached.

If you’re able to help in the recovery of this quilt top, please contact Karen Cassanello at kcassanello@hotmail.com.

  1. That’s terrible. How could someone who you knew and obviously trusted do this to people she spent time with. I hope you’re able to recover your quilt soon.

  2. Why don’t you take her to small claims court and try to make her give it back plus pay damages? Even just having paperwork delivered to her house saying she will be taken to court may compell her to return the quilt.

  3. What a beautiful top! I’m so sorry it’s been taken it’s breathtaking.

  4. Beautiful quilt. I’d notify the police. In my opinion she stole it. I hope you recover it soon. Again it’s beautiful!
