The quilt blocks made by Niki’s late mother-in-law. Each block is made up of nine squares. The blocks were found when her family was cleaning out her house. In 2008, two very similar twin-size quilts were made for the two brothers using those blocks. The picture is of the sister quilt, not the one that is missing. The squares will be slightly different on the missing quilt and the trim fabric is a bit darker and has very small red flowers. All of the squares are fabrics from the 1960’s and 1970’s. The squares were scraps of fabrics used to make curtains, skirts, blouses, boy’s shirts, pajamas, etc.
