200 Child-Sized Donation Quilts

Lisa Brunstetter has reported that 200 child-size quilts were stolen from her car during December 1997. Around 1 PM on a Monday, she had stopped at the Marley Station Mall to pick up a Christmas gift. In the back seat of her car were trash bags full of quilts that were to be donated to hospitalized children. When she returned, the window had been broken and the quilts and several other things had been stolen.

The theft was reported in the local paper, but never found. There were about 200 small quilts ranging from 36-inches to 50-inches in dimension.

Lisa believes the thief may have just “dumped” the quilts when they found out what they had stolen, but she holds out hope that they can still be recovered. If you have any information about these quilts, please contact Lisa at LBRUNSTE@arinc.com.
