1940's Scrap Quilt

H. Joyce Green is searching for a 1940's quilt which was made by her mother-in-law. The queen size quilt is made of a wide variety of colors. The main fabric is yellow with small white stripes. It was machine pieced and hand quilted in the 1940s. The quilt was last seen in October 1990 at a fair in Polk County, Tennessee.

Joyce adds, "This was a very precious quilt, my mother-in-law had made. She is dead now and I would love to have it back to give to my children or grandchildren. The pattern was very unusual, made from children's clothing, I think."

If you have seen a quilt that fits this description, please contact Joyce at [email protected].
