1930's Lone Star Quilt
Back in 1958 Myrtice Manley placed her belongings in storage in Endicott, New York while she visited her parents in Alabama. Unfortunately she was never able to get together enough money to reclaim her things and she suspects they were eventually sold at auction. There was a 1930's Lone Star quilt among the things placed in storage. Myrtice writes, "This quilt has great sentimental value...I certainly hope someone sees this and returns this quilt to me, although it has been over 40 years."
Are you the person who can help make this miracle happen? The full-size quilt was made by Millie Stephens in 1932. It is made with florals and blues. There were over 800 diamonds used to make the star. The background around the star is blue. This quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted.
