1876 Centennial Quilt Top

On February 3, 2004 an 1876 Centennial Quilt Top was stolen out of a glass display case in the Patchwork Plus Quilt Shop in Alton, Illinois (across the river from St. Louis, Missouri). This quilt top, belonging to Jan Coats, features a 1876 American flag fabric. The center of the quilt has a panel of George Washington. At the bottom is a panel of centennial flags from around the world representing the countries that celebrated the centennial with us. This red, white and blue quilt top is hand pieced.

If you have any information about this quilt top, please contact Jan through the Lost Quilt Come Home Page.
