Lost: Cityscape Quilt Top

Lauren Kermode is asking for help in locating a quilt top that she calls Waters Edge Nighttime Cityscape. This quilt is the quilt maker’s original design, approximately 45″ x 60″ made of black, orange, and off white fabrics.  The skyscrapers on the cityscape quilt are made from a black fabric that has tiny red (and some gray?) squares on it. Lauren explained, ” This guy is a city sky at Sunset with a large Rising Moon. All of the skyscrapers are also reflected into the blue black swirling water.”

This is the style of the citiscape although not the exact image in the quilt

Fabrics used in Water’s Edge Nighttime Cityscape

Lauren machine pieced and appliqued this quilt in 2013  She does not have a picture of the completed quilt top but has provided a picture of the type  of image that she was creating in the cityscape as well as a photograph of the fabrics used. Lauren’t quilt was last seen at the end of 2013 or early 2014 at a quilt shop in Elkton, Maryland.

Lauren added, “The concept of the quilt was a waterfront cityscape at twilight – my own design. There is a reverse image of the skyscrapers that reflects down into the dark water and a strip of what’s meant to look like a city street in between the two. Also, there was a large pale yellow moon in the upper corner of the twilight sky. This is an original design. If it is returned there will be no  questions asked.” If you know anything about this quilt, please contact Lauren at Lauren.kermode721@gmail.com
